After twenty years of chillin’ with no worries, Ali G is stunned to discover his long-term girlfriend Julie is eight months pregnant, and sets off across America to work out what kind of dad, and man, he’s meant to be.

Ali G (Sacha Baron Cohen), the self-proclaimed voice of the youth and leader of the West Staines Massiv, has spent two decades living large with zero responsibility.

Then comes the bombshell: Julie (Morgana Robinson) is about to have their baby.

With fatherhood looming, Ali takes his wildly misplaced confidence to the United States in search of answers.

There he interviews and ambushes unsuspecting real people, from everyday Americans to people in positions of power.

Like the Borat films, it was shot in secret, mixing a scripted storyline with real hidden-camera encounters with members of the public who have no idea what’s going on.

The result is a cringe-inducing, outrageous and often surprisingly pointed satire, with Ali G as clueless as ever.
