Your childhood toy cars get fast and furious
As kids, Sean Walker (John Cena) and his tight-knit group of friends were bonded by their love of Matchbox cars.
Years later, the friends have settled into ordinary small-town lives until Sean, their long-absent leader, suddenly turns up again.
It soon emerges that he’s now a covert CIA operative on a mission with the future of the world at stake, and his old crew is about to be pulled right into the middle of it. Aimee (Jessica Biel), Crosby (Sam Richardson), Ted (Arturo Castro) and Charmaine (Teyonah Parris) are thrown into an international manhunt full of high-speed chases and stunt-driven action.
Along the way they have to rediscover the friendship that held them together as kids. It’s an original story rather than a retelling of any existing Matchbox lore, using the toy cars as a launchpad for a family-friendly spy action-comedy.
