When Russian terrorists hijack Air Force One, the US President, a decorated war veteran, takes them on himself from inside the plane to save his family and his crew.

President James Marshall (Harrison Ford) has just delivered a hard-line speech in Moscow vowing never to negotiate with terrorists.

On the flight home, a group of Russian ultranationalists led by the ruthless Ivan Korshunov (Gary Oldman), posing as a news crew, seizes control of Air Force One.

They take the First Lady, the President’s daughter and his staff hostage.

Their demand is the release of a jailed Kazakh general, and they threaten to execute a hostage every half hour until they get it.

Everyone believes the President escaped in his emergency pod.

In fact, he’s still on board, hiding in the belly of the plane.

While Vice President Kathryn Bennett (Glenn Close) battles a power struggle on the ground in Washington, Marshall has to fight his way through the aircraft to take back his plane.

It’s a tense, high-altitude action thriller in the spirit of Die Hard.
